Ben Walker named as Women’s First Team Coach
Ilkley Town is pleased to announce Ben Walker as its new Women’s First Team Coach.
The appointment sees Ben link up once more with his brother Rich following a successful season together at Brighouse Town Women’s U23s.
Ben’s playing career includes spells at Halifax Town, Brighouse Town and Shelley FC, and he’s soon to complete his UEFA C coaching qualification.
“I’m delighted to be joining a well-established club who have a clear ambition to develop players and strive for success,” he said.
“I’m excited to work alongside my brother Rich once again and look forward to building a totally new-look team and developing players to be competitive in what is a good level of football in the women’s pyramid.
“I can’t wait to get started and meet the players and staff at the club. This is an exciting time to be at Ilkley and the start of a great future!”
First Team Manager Rich Walker added: “We have a great understanding and work really well together. Ben knows the game and brings a lot of experience on and off the pitch. Having him join me at Ilkley is the first step in what we are building here.”
