Crunch Game Under The Lights

Ilkley will be hoping for a big three points when they host Chadderton under the floodlights this Tuesday evening at the MPM Stadium as they look to build on their 4-3 victory against Cleator Moor, writes Evan Seaman.

Recent form

Ilkley’s win last time out ended a four match winless run for them so they will be looking to put together a decent set of results now.

And as we start heading into the final stage of the campaign, Ilkley will be hoping to finish it strongly to put them in the best possible scenario for next season.

Reverse fixture

If the result against Chadderton earlier in the season is anything to go by, then Sam Dexter’s side will be in for a tough game as they previously lost 1-0 to them when they were the visitors.

However, Ilkley will be aiming to reverse fortunes this time round and the way the Baht’atters battled back from behind to eventually get the three points against Cleator Moor will give the players hope that they can continue to defy expectations.

Opposition

Whereas for Chadderton, they come into this game with blistering form and are looking to close the gap on league leaders Pilkington.

They have won five out of their last six attempts and have only conceded one goal in that time as well, so Ilkley know that they will have to be at their very best if they want to try and get a result.

Key players

In terms of key players for this fixture for Ilkley, it is difficult to pinpoint one player because they have all been excellent so far this season.

So you could say that one of their strengths is their teamwork so far, as they have shown how much of a tight-knit group they are.

But they will still need to watch out for Chadderton’s Adam Dale who is currently on 21 goals in 27 appearances so far.
