Ilkley in FA Vase home match this Saturday

Ilkley Town AFC are hoping for a bumper home turnout when they face Penrith in the first qualifying round of the Isuzu FA Vase this Saturday (24 August).

The Baht’atters take on the Cumbrian side at Ilkley’s MPM Stadium at 3pm where a win will take them one match away from qualification for the first round proper.

The clubs last met three years ago in the same competition with Penrith snatching a 2-1 win. Ilkley will be hoping for a reversal of fortune this time round.

The team come into the match after a run of success that has seen them win 4 of their last 5 matches.

First team manager Sam Dexter said: “We know the match will be a challenge. Teams from Cumbria are notoriously tough to play against and I’m sure this weekend will be no different. It’s a free hit for us and we will be doing everything to come away with the win.”

Tickets are available on the gate and cost £6 for adults, £3 for under-16s and over-65s and are free for under-5s.

We hope to see you there.
