Ilkley women look ahead to exciting season

It’s an exciting year ahead for Ilkley’s women whose impressive performances this season have set them up for a stellar 2025/6.

After making their FA CUP debut this year and winning the West Riding Premier Division in only their first season in the league, our Firsts have been accepted into the North East Regional Women’s League - an amazing achievement by predominately young players who have come through grass roots pathways.

The development team - many of whom were competing in their first season of senior football - finished a solid mid-table in Division 4.

An incredible 40 players contributed to the seniors’ success last season, and in the junior ranks more than 200 girls were registered with the club from U6s upwards.

Women’s first team manager Claire Armstrong said:

“The trajectory of growth and improvement of the women’s section since I joined four years ago has been phenomenal. I am passionate to keep driving forward this development and am working with junior girls’ coaches with the aim to create a long term, sustainable and successful girls and women’s pathway that is second to none.

“I am grateful to have the support of the club who are committed to aligning the  women with the semi-professional men’s team and ensuring that the players have an equivalent support package for their debut season in their new league.”

Sponsors on board
New player sponsors Ideal Extraction and Myers came on board this season and stay involved for 2025/6.

Ilkley-based dust extraction company Ideal Extraction provide installations, maintenance and more to businesses of all sizes across Yorkshire.

Family-owned building materials supplier Myers Building and Timber Supplies has 17 branches across Yorkshire, including local sites in Skipton, Silsden and Baildon.

Club kit sponsors CFP Group and women’s team sponsor Harrison Robinson Estate Agents continue their strong association with the squads.
