Notice of Club AGM - 7pm, 12 November 2025

Notice is hereby given to all members that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ilkley Town AFC whose registered address is Ben Rhydding Sports Club, Leeds Road, Ilkley LS29 8AW will be held at 7PM Wednesday 12th November 2025. The meeting will be held at Ben Rhydding Sports Club, Leeds Road, Ilkley LS29 8AW.

At the AGM, a member who is entitled to vote at the meeting will be asked to consider and vote on the resolutions set out in the agenda.

A ‘member’ is:

  • Any registered player from U15s upwards
  • The subs payer of players aged U14 and below
  • All club coaches

The agenda for the AGM shall be as follows:

1. Welcome and Quorum

2. Confirmation of Voting Process – Members present are entitled to vote on the resolutions by a simple show of hands. Resolutions will pass by a simple majority of those members in attendance and eligible to vote.

3. Chairman’s Statement - Robert Brown

4. Overview and introduction to FA club governance best practice and the reasons for adopting the governance structure as proposed in the Governance Recommendation Paper (appended to this notice).

5. Financial report - Paul Wintersgill

6. Members to consider and vote on Resolution A.

7. In accordance with the Constitution and Rules of the Club, the current Club Officers of the Committee shall step down with immediate effect for new Club Officers to be elected.

8. In accordance with the constitution of the Club, members are entitled to nominate individuals for election as Club Officers or as members of the Club Committee. Nominations are required to be made in writing to the Club Secretary by a proposing member and seconder, both of whom must be existing members of the Club, not less than 21 days before the date of an AGM/EGM. The nomination must state which position the nominee is being nominated for. As these requirements have not been met, this meeting will serve as notice to call a further EGM to appoint a new committee to the Club. For nominations to be properly received by the club, a previous member of the committee shall be appointed as interim Club secretary by the members for the purpose of receiving these nominations but will step down at the next EGM.

9. End of meeting.

Resolutions

A. That the Governance Recommendation Paper be approved and implemented as soon as practicable with a target completion date of no later than 30th June 2026.
