Club Administrator Job Vacancy

Ilkley Town AFC is looking for a highly organised and reliable Club Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of the club.

This is a central role working with the Club Committee, Club Secretary, Treasurer, Welfare Officer, coaches, team managers, volunteers, players and parents. The successful candidate will help ensure that the club’s administration, communications and digital systems are managed efficiently and effectively.

Role details

  • Hours: 8 hours per week on average

  • Salary: £120 per week

  • Reports to: Ilkley Town AFC Club Committee

  • Location: A mixture of home-based administration and attendance at the club or events when required

The hours will vary across the season, with busier periods around registrations, holiday camps, tournaments and events, balanced by quieter periods.

Main responsibilities

The Club Administrator will:

  • Manage the club’s general email inbox and respond to or redirect enquiries.

  • Administer the club’s player registrations and provide support to coaches, players and parents.

  • Support FA registrations, league administration and other football administration.

  • Maintain accurate club records, calendars and key information.

  • Act as an administrative point of contact for coaches and volunteers.

  • Support kit and equipment orders.

  • Manage the administration of holiday camps and junior tournaments.

  • Manage email marketing and club-wide communication.

  • Keep the club website up to date.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, reliable and detail-focused.

  • A confident written and verbal communicator.

  • Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and other digital platforms 

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Practical, solution-focused and able to work independently.

  • Comfortable working with volunteers, coaches, parents and young people.

  • Friendly and able to build positive relationships across the club.

Experience in grassroots football or community sport would be helpful, but is not essential

Training will be provided where needed, including support with Spond and the club website.
